Large group sites to accommodate 2-5 tents each.  Fist come, first served so reserve sites early to get multiple sites side by side.  Parking in central lot only.  Est. number of people per site is based on number of raised tent 'boxes' per site.  Cabins also available.

(Hwy. 75 East), 1/2 mile from historic Waxhaw, NC No cost to scout groups, but donations or service projects encouraged History museum (fee), campfire/amphitheater, "listen and remember" +reenactment events during the year.  Flush bathrooms and water at amphitheater area.  Water also available at hose spigot at Museum. Minimal camping facilities, but the draw here is the history museum.  If camping is scheduled in conjunction with reenactments or special events it makes for a one-of-a-kind event.

Southeastern Mecklenburg County, easily accessible from I-485 or Rt. 601.

Mill, SC Linda Turner  (803)548-7252  LindaTurner@LeroySprings.com  $2/person per night (special price for scout groups only) Central bath house with running water, Lake, hiking, fishing (SC license required for adults).  Nature center, self-guided nature trail, equstrian riding, group camping in large field, some individual sites available.  Running water and electric only at bath house. Great facilities for conservation and outdoor-related belt loops and electives!  All prices are per 24 hour period.  1200 wooded acre preserve.  Service project opportunities may also be available.

Group tent camping.  New dining hall/meeting facility planned.  Centeral bath house.  Beach, fishing, hiking trails, lake, boating, high & low ropes courses (extra fee), sports fields, basketball court, chapel with cam+D1pfire ring.  400+ wooded acres.   Tree Tops operates as a summer camp for at-risk and disadvantaged youth during M-F in the summer, open to any group on weekends and non-program months.  All prices are per 24 hour period.  Somewhat expensive compared to other places but well worth the cost with excellent facilities.  Chapel is AWESOME, great place for worship but also campfires, skits, group meetings.  Tree Tops is always open to scouts performing service projects.  New cabins and central dining hall being built.

Group camping, central bath house, pit toilets near sites.  Pool, athletic fields, shooting ranges, lake, boating, hiking trails, chapel, campfire arena, new dining hall. Central NC Council's scout camp.  Open year-round.  Non-council or district events need special reservations.  West of Albermarle, NC on Baden Lake.  Campsite permit requred 2 weeks in advance.
